About Nadire Ertuğrul

Nadire Ertuğrul is the founder and creative director of Zade Design Studio.

She graduated from Bahçeşehir University Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design in 2013 as the valedictorian of the university.

Since 1993, she has been providing architectural, interior architecture, project applications, contracting and consultancy services within Design Construction Center Architecture and Ltd. Şti, which she founded with her husband, Y. Architect (İ.T.Ü) Ayhan Ertuğrul, and the project group produces antiquities, mass housing and various social purpose building projects and also participates in international idea project competitions. He has won many awards with the competitions he participated in.

It characterizes design with the concept of 'benefit'. It aims to be a part of the memories of useful designs with users in the ever-changing conditions of the world by producing good, thoughtful, simple, functional, robust, aesthetic and identity designs.

For this reason, since I stand against mass production and mediocrity, I founded Zade Design, a design studio in Istanbul in 2018 under the roof of TYM Architecture, serving in the categories of coffee tables, lampshades and home accessories. Zade Design focuses on producing sustainable, timeless designs that are sustainable, intertwined with artisans, inspired by nature, which consists of living and non-living objects that exist spontaneously and constantly recreate and change themselves outside of human activity. Therefore, its products are always personalized.

About Zade Design

Zade Design is a design and production studio founded in 2018 in Istanbul by TYM Architecture and Construction Ltd. Şti. which has been in the sector for 32 years, serving in the categories of coffee table models, lampshade models, home accessories.

It stands against mass production and mediocrity by taking inspiration from nature, which consists of living and non-living objects that exist spontaneously and constantly recreate and change themselves outside of human activity. Therefore, it strives to produce timeless designs because nature, craft and sustainability are at the center of its designs.

Sustainable design aims to create timeless and lasting artifacts while respecting the balance of nature. At this point, craft and nature stand out as sources of inspiration for the design world.

Craft involves handcrafting and careful production processes. At the same time, artisans create timeless works by leaving a personal touch in the production process. While these works carry the heritage of the past, they also combine aesthetics and functionality today. Craft highlights the uniqueness of each product, leading to a change in consumption habits.

Nature is an unlimited source of inspiration for designers. Being inspired by nature means not only aesthetics, but also respect for ecosystems.

Timeless design refers to designs that stand out with aesthetics and functionality, not temporary trends. Such designs remain relevant over the years and are therefore a stand against the fast fashion cycle that constantly drives consumers to buy new products.

As a result, sustainable design brings together the concepts of craft, nature and timelessness, ensuring the creation of environmentally friendly, aesthetic and permanent works. This approach stands out as a step towards a sustainable future, both in the design world and among consumers.

We believe that happiness is not in consuming more, but in returning to Nature and the traditional wisdom of humanity. For this reason, ZaDe Design added human warmth to the product by making its production from natural "mud" and combining it with hand labor...

ZaDe Design's motto is Nature. It aims to make people happy with Personalized Designs that will have a place in their lives.

The fact that all ZaDe Design designs have Limited Edition features, meaning that each of them is a unique product, makes each design more unique. A portion of the sales amount of each product you purchase from Zade Design, which always supports social responsibility projects, is allocated for donations to Tema Foundation, Açev and similar organizations.

The team, which uses some of the products sold in charity projects, first set out by planting 40 trees for the Tema Foundation.

The brand, which also makes personalized designs, can design furniture, coffee tables, dressers and lampshades to the size you want.

ZaDe Design's goals include overhauling antique furniture, redesigning them with today's interpretation, making them usable and bringing the spirit and naturalness of the past to homes. The team, which aims to design products by reaching out to more artisans and collaborating, aims to revive traditional handcrafting and create mixed product designs with natural materials to touch more people.
